Project Overview
DealTrace transforms the way people make purchasing decisions by providing a structured approach to offer evaluation and tracking. The app serves as an "Offer Journey Log" that helps users track deals from initial interest through final purchase or rejection, ensuring more informed buying decisions.
Key features include a comprehensive status pipeline (Interested → Researching → Considering → Purchased/Rejected), detailed offer management with store information and priority levels, and a sophisticated scoring system that allows users to rate offers on custom criteria with importance weightings. The dashboard provides clear visibility into decision patterns through analytics including success rates, decision times, and spending patterns.
The Approach & Solution
Architecture: Developed with Flutter using a modular architecture that separates offer management, analytics processing, and user interface concerns. The app implements a robust state management system to handle complex offer tracking workflows and real-time data visualization components.
Design System: Created a professional interface using a blue and gold color palette with semantic color coding for different offer statuses. The card-based layout with soft shadows and rounded corners creates an approachable yet business-focused aesthetic. Visual elements like progress bars, circular score gauges, and status badges provide immediate feedback on offer evaluation progress.
User Experience: Designed the decision workflow to reduce purchasing anxiety by providing structured evaluation tools. The weighted criteria scoring system helps users make objective comparisons, while the progress pipeline visualizes decision stages. Analytics dashboards offer insights into spending patterns and decision-making effectiveness.
