Project Overview
CueList revolutionizes task management by introducing context-aware organization that goes beyond traditional date-based scheduling. Instead of managing tasks solely by deadlines, CueList allows users to organize todos by situational contexts such as "After Dinner," "6:00 PM," or location-based triggers.
The app features a comprehensive task creation system with priority levels (low, medium, high), detailed descriptions, and flexible context assignments. Users can filter tasks by status (All, Pending, Completed) and leverage the intelligent context system to surface relevant tasks at the right moments. The interface includes statistics tracking, customizable settings for notifications and defaults, and multiple view modes for different user preferences.
The Approach & Solution
Architecture: Built with Flutter using a clean architecture pattern that separates business logic from presentation layers. The context management system utilizes intelligent algorithms to categorize and surface tasks based on user-defined situational triggers, creating a more intuitive task management experience.
Design System: Implemented a light, modern interface using indigo and purple accent colors against clean white cards on a subtle off-white background. The design emphasizes readability and accessibility with color-coded priority badges, pill-shaped context tags, and intuitive iconography that follows iOS Human Interface Guidelines.
User Experience: Designed the workflow to minimize cognitive load by organizing tasks contextually rather than chronologically. The three-tier priority system with visual indicators helps users quickly identify task importance, while the context-based organization ensures relevant tasks appear when needed. Multiple view modes and comprehensive filtering options accommodate different user preferences and workflows.
Technical Implementation: Integrated robust state management for task persistence, real-time statistics tracking, and flexible notification systems. The app includes comprehensive settings for customization, data management features, and seamless synchronization across different view modes while maintaining consistent performance.
